What kind of world would you envisage(imagine) in the year 2050?

What kind of world would you envisage in the year 2050?

I was reading today's Sunday Times and came across this topic. Hmmm..2050 is not that far away. I would be barely a senior citizen by then.I don't think there would be a disaster which will wipe out humankind or catastrophe which will kill the whole world. I think those 'doomsday' theories are quite unfounded.

However, I do see that 2050 would be an age of technology. Where technology rules the world- everything would be dominated by robots, electronics and technology is like the saviour of everything-from medicine to energy crisis. It is already quite worrying now when our lives are so dependent on technology. You still remember what happened last year when there was an earthquake in Taiwan which damaged the undersea cables? Our internet connections were affected and our lives almost fell apart!! *it's scary to know that our lives can be so muh affected by technology* I was in China at that time and had difficulty connecting to my mail, I was so frustrated and angry!!
